Sawsan Abdul-Jalil
Sawsan is an economic development researcher and practitioner. She is interested in International Economics and Public Policy. She has extensive working experience in development projects in Sudan, Germany and Ghana. She works currently as a lecturer at the Department of Economics, University of Khartoum and as consultant for the UNDP, Ministry of Finance and the World Bank.
Jawhratelkmal Kanu
An economist with interests in political economy, regional cooperation, and development economics. Jawhara has been working with institutes focusing on Sudan such as the British Council and USIP, and others with a continental focus such as UNECA. She is also a Co-founder at Hiwarat Podcast and serves within many community led initiatives.

Hala M.E. Abushama
Hala is a development economist, with research interest in industrial policy and GVCs, labour policy, and the political economy of institutions. Hala has over 5 years of voluntary, research, and professional experience in Sudan, Ethiopia, Burundi, the UK, and the UAE with various local and international NGOs, AfDB, SOAS University, and the Government of Khartoum State.
Eiman Osman
Eiman is a statistician and economist, with research interest in inequality, gender, and labor market. She has solid experience in capacity-building and development projects with the Sudanese government institutions. She works as a statistics lecturer at the University of Khartoum and a poverty and equity consultant at the World Bank.

Umnia Mahgoub
Umnia is a Political Economist, with an interest in development economics. She currently works in the private sector at Mahgoub Sons Group, in research and business development in the agribusiness field where their work intertwines with many stakeholders from small-scale farmers to government institutes.

Tibyan is an international development practitioner with significant experience in programme development, grants and programme management, donor compliance and resource mobilisation. Tibyan is currently a Programme Manager at the Aga Khan Foundation (UK) where she manages a portfolio of projects in East Africa and Central Asia. Prior to this, Tibyan worked at Crown Agents, UNDP and a couple of Africa-focused investment boutiques.

Tagwa Khalil
Tagwa is a development professional. She has experience in working with mining companies, media, marketing, and INGOs. She is an advocate for women empowerment, and she has participated in many initiatives raising women in political awareness, supporting women in sports and women small scale farmers in Blue Nile state.

Waad is a researcher with interest in gender, equality and politics. She worked in several NGOs such as SIHA, DRC Sudan and Adeela as a communication consultant. She is currently. working for NDI (National democratic Institute) as a program officer.

Sara Amin
Sara is a teaching assistant of Econometrics and Social Statistics at University of Khartoum and a freelancer data scientist in market-related data analytics. She has extensive experience in voluntary work for more than four years in local NGO’s. She is also the founder of EME; a local initiative aimed to help Sudanese economics graduates and students.

Wisam Ahmed
Wisam is an undergraduate Econometrics and Social Statistics student, with research interest in development economics and political economy. She works as a freelance research assistant and has solid experience as a project coordinator in several local non-governmental organizations with consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council, in addition to the coordination of several youth-led capacity building programs.

Zuhal is an agricultural economist and specialized in economic simulation modeling based in Germany. She is a research fellow at the International Agricultural Trade And Development Chair of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She also works as a senior researcher at the Agricultural Economics and Policy Research Center of the Agricultural Research Corporation in Sudan.
